Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Alfred Jabu had challenged the people to go to the ground to wet their feet instead of just talking is not doing justice to himself, said Dr. Tang Sie Hing.Tang whom is PA to Chong Chieng Jen, State Assemblyman for Sentosa said Jabu's outburst in the media yesterday is unbecoming of a senior leader of the state.
Jabu, he said, should not blame the people for criticizing him as they were unable to get hold of him when disaster strikes.
"When Jabu scolded the opposition for not wetting their feet, he should go to the Facebook and viewed the photos of opposition leaders and members helping various kampungs during the flood crisis. He did not have a single photo showing him going to wet his feet but instead had press conferences in the luxury air conditioned room," said Tang.
Tang said if any State Assemblyman or ministers are sincere in helping the people, the first thing they should do is to let their handphone numbers be known as what the opposition are doing.
Government servants should do their job with grumpiness but with a smile, no matter how difficult the situation.
